Celebrating Irish Heart Month – Free Open House and Talk at Croí Heart & Stroke Centre!
Are you concerned about your heart health and want to learn how to protect your heart from disease? Join Croí this Irish Heart Month for an Open House on September 27th from 1:45 – 2:45pm!
The health team at the Croí Heart & Stroke Centre in Newcastle, Galway, are opening their doors for a monthly Open House series, with a talk on understanding cardiovascular disease risk factors. Croí want to help people reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease (risks include high cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc.) and help reduce overall risk for further heart attack or stroke events.
The FREE drop-in Open House will include a talk on Top Tips for a Healthy Heart. The talk will place an importance on understanding your risk factors, and will include advice on exercise and a cardio protective diet to ensure you can live a healthy life. Specialist Cardiac Physiotherapist, Denise Dunne said: “It’s so important to understand your risk factors and engage in behaviour changes to enable you to make changes to live a healthy lifestyle, which without doubt will help decrease your future cardiovascular risk”.
The Autumn/Winter Open House series will take place on the following dates from 1:45 – 2:45pm:
