Croí nurses carried out over 100 Blood Pressure checks at Mayo Health Fairs, organised by HSE Sláintecare Healthy Communities

Croí recently attended three Mayo health fairs organised by HSE Sláintecare Healthy Communities. Croí nurses carried out over 100 Blood Pressure checks across these three events in Belmullet, Achill and Ballycastle.

The Sláintecare Healthy Communities Programme provides increased health and wellbeing services in 19 community areas across Ireland. An evidenced based process identified local areas in which health and wellbeing risk factors are particularly concentrated (Ballycastle down to Achill) the only area across Mayo, Galway or Roscommon involved in this project.

Particular initiatives such as these health fairs will be delivered to help promote and improve the overall health and wellbeing of people in these communities.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Mayo health fairs, met with Croí nurses and received a blood pressure check ‘Own It, Check It and Sort It!’
