The ‘Courtyard Apartments’ at Croí house consist of three self-contained ground floor accommodation units, located just a ten-minute walk from Galway University Hospital. Recognising the important role family and loved-ones play in a patient’s recovery, the apartments have been specifically designed for short-term stays, allowing family members to be as close as possible to patients who are receiving heart or stroke care at the hospital.
Each open-plan apartment is equipped with:
• Large Double or Twin Bedroom
• Ensuite Bathroom
• Fully-fitted Kitchen
• Sitting and Dining area
• TV and DVD player
• Free Wi-Fi
• All linen provided
• Private entrance with secure entry system
Every year, we support over 100 families, some who have stayed twice in the one year. The apartments are open 365 days a year and have a 98% occupancy, making them a facility in high-demand. Families who stay at the apartments come from all over Ireland (particularly the Mid/North West) and even some from abroad.
These apartments are funded entirely by donations and fundraising events organised by Croí and community fundraisers. We could not provide these facilities without the generosity of the people of Ireland, particularly those in the West and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their incredible and continuing support.
