Croí is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the fight against heart disease and stroke, two major causes of death in Ireland. We provide our community with a state-of-the-art Heart and Stroke Centre in Galway and complimentary apartments for family members of those receiving treatment during one of the most stressful and frightening times of their lives. Our work is entirely funded by the proceeds of fundraising events, voluntary contributions and philanthropy, one of the best ways to support Croí and allow your funds go further is through tax effective giving.

What is Tax effective Giving
If you have kindly donated €250 or over in one calendar year to Croí, we can claim 45% tax back on your donation and make your funds go even further. This comes at no extra cost to you. For example, if you donate €25, we can claim €112.25 from revenue, bringing your total donation to €362.25 which makes a significant difference. This doesn’t just include one off donation, the same criteria is applicable for monthly donations.

How do I qualify?
- You must have donated €250 or more in one calendar year (January to December) this also includes donations since 2020 (in the past four years)
- You must be a taxpayer in the Republic of Ireland (PAYE or self-assessed)
- You must have donated the funds directly yourself.
How do I claim Tax relief?
If you have donated €250 or more in once calendar year, we will send you a CHY3 form in the post in the year following your donation.
All you need to do is complete, sign and date the CHY3 form and return it to us

Have you donated just under €250 this year?
If you have donated just under the €250 threshold, you can top up your donation and allow your donation to go further. Just call us on 091 – 544310 or email the Fundraising team – fundraising@croi.ie
