What is the ACTivate Your Life Programme?
The ACTivate Your Life Programme is a Croí group programme designed to support the emotional wellbeing and recovery of people and family members affected by stroke or heart disease.
A stroke or heart condition is a serious life event that affects each individual and family differently. It is normal to feel many different, and often difficult, emotions, such as, worry, sadness and anger.
What does this programme offer me?
The ACTivate Your Life programme was designed by a clinical psychologist to help people understand the impact of a stroke or heart condition on their mental health and to develop skills to manage distress.
Although stress and worry is a normal part of life, particularly after an experience like a stroke, a heart attack or another heart problem, if stress levels get too high this can get in the way of our ability to recover and take care of ourselves.
Who is this programme for?:
ACTivate Your Life is for people and family members affected by stroke or heart disease. The programme may not be suitable for people with aphasia or if your health problem is very new.

Programme Details:
Location: Online or In Person at the Croí Heart & Stroke Centre
Duration: One 90-minute session each week for 8 weeks delivered online or in person
Cost: Free of charge. Tea and coffee will be provided at the in-person programmes at the Croí Heart & Stroke Centre

April 24th – June 12th: For people affected by stroke or heart disease
This programme will be delivered in person at the Croí Heart & Stroke Centre from 11:30 am – 1 pm
May 14th – July 2nd: For people with heart disease only
This programme will be delivered in person at the Croí Heart & Stroke Centre from 6 pm – 7:30 pm
