Croí, the heart and stroke charity, extends its thanks to the hundreds of cyclists, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who helped make the 2026 Croí Corrib Charity Cycle another successful fundraiser for Croí.
Cyclists took to the roads of Galway on Sunday, June 7th, enjoying two scenic routes through Connemara to support awareness and prevention efforts in heart disease and stroke. The commitment and generosity shown through this important fundraiser will have a huge impact, with all funds raised supporting Croí’s community-based health initiatives, education programmes and patient support services.

“We are thrilled to welcome cyclists back for the 2026 Croí Corrib Charity Cycle. This event has become a special tradition for so many people over the past three decades, bringing communities together to support heart health while enjoying a fantastic day of cycling. Every kilometre cycled and every euro raised helps Croí continue to provide prevention, rehabilitation, education and support services to individuals and families affected by heart disease and stroke.”
Croí extends sincere thanks to the many volunteers who gave their time and expertise to help deliver a safe, supported and enjoyable experience for all participants. From preparing packs, registration to route marshals, mechanical support, food stops and the post-cycle celebration, the event simply could not happen without you. Croí is also very grateful to An Garda Síochána and Galway City and County Councils for their support and assistance.

Their consistent support over the years has helped this event grow into one of Croí’s most important annual fundraisers.
