County Mayo, Ireland.
Benecol Ireland is thrilled to announce a collaborative event with Croí Heart and Stroke Charity, bringing together the spirit of community and shared knowledge. Join us for the inaugural “Croí Heart Day” event on Tuesday, 18th June, from 10am-2pm at Charlestown Community Complex, F12 R832
This event will launch a national campaign that will run over the summer months calling for all communities to apply for their very own Heart Day.
The importance of understanding cholesterol
High cholesterol increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, and peripheral artery disease. It’s estimated that 1 in 2 adults in Ireland have elevated cholesterol levels.1 Cholesterol isn’t just a number; it’s a vital piece of our health puzzle.
The event aims to bring the community together to tackle common concerns about cholesterol. There will be expert talks, free cholesterol tests (for those that haven’t been tested in the last year) and plenty more in this half day event.
About Croí Heart and Stroke Charity Croí’s aim is to fight against heart disease and stroke.. Their mission is to prevent disease, save lives and promote recovery and wellbeing. Their work is funded from the proceeds of fundraising events, voluntary contributions and philanthropy.
