Croí was delighted to host Professor Ronán Collins, Sinéad Coleman and Ciara Breen representing the National Clinical Programme for Stroke this week, to discuss local and national priorities related to stroke prevention and recovery. Joined by our HSE colleagues from the Galway University Hospitals Stroke Unit and the Early Supported Discharge team, including Stroke Consultant and Croí Board member, Dr Ruairi Waters, we were very excited to give a guided tour of the new Croí Stroke Hub facilities. The Croí Stroke Hub will be dedicated to community-based support for people affected by stroke, and will be officially opening in the coming months. The Stroke Hub has been commissioned as part of a transformative legacy donation from the Joe & Helen O’Toole Charitable Trust, Tuam.
