Another Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has been added to Salthill thanks to Cullinane’s Inn

With thanks to Cullinane’s Inn, Salthill, with Trends Golf Society, another Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has been added to Salthill and is centrally located outside the AIB Salthill Branch. Croí would like to take this opportunity to thank Cullinane’s Inn and Trends Golf Society for their generosity and support and AIB for facilitating the location of this lifesaving medical equipment.

Pictured outside the AIB in Salthill are (L-R) Mark O’Donnell, Croí’s Head of Foundation and Chief Operations Officer; Stephen Cullinane of Cullinane’s Inn; and Alan Lee, AIB Salthill Branch Manager.

An AED is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It’s a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyse the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.
