Croí, the heart and stroke charity, is encouraging adults to take charge of their heart health as the Croí Mobile Health Hub visits Ennis on Tuesday, 11th August, offering free blood pressure and pulse checks along with risk factor information.
The visits form part of a new three-year partnership between Croí and The Michael Guinee Charitable Foundation, which is supporting the Croí in Your Community programme to bring life-saving prevention and early detection services directly into communities across Ireland.
The Croí Mobile Health Hub is the largest vehicle in Croí’s mobile health fleet. The specially designed 13.6-metre unit features six private assessment cubicles and two consultation rooms, allowing Croí’s healthcare team to deliver confidential blood pressure and pulse checks and provide practical advice to help people reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke.
The free community health check event will take place from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at the Friars Walk Coach Park (beside Temple Gate Hotel) on Tuesday, 11th August. Advance booking is essential.

Cardiovascular disease remains one of Ireland’s leading causes of death, but many risk factors can be identified early and managed through lifestyle changes and appropriate medical care.
The health checks are free of charge, but advance booking is essential. Adults wishing to attend must book their appointment in advance through the Croí website.
