Well known Irish Golf writer, Ivan Morris who was Voted ‘Golf Nut of the Year’ by the Golf Nut Society of America in 2002 (the first non-American to receive the dubious accolade) based on the strength of his first book ‘Only Golf Spoken Here’ will be the guest after-dinner speaker at the Inaugural Croi Corporate Golf Classic which will take place in Galway Bay Golf and Country Club on Friday June 17th. Morris who has been a category one golfer for over fifty years has competed in countless international and regional amateur championships is a fanatical golf enthusiast and has written many books on Golf, his latest being, ‘Life As A Way Of Golf’
The event which is being sponsored by DHKN Chartered Accountants & Corporate Finance, is attracting some of the largest companies in the west of Ireland to compete for the Croí Corporate Cup and many other great prizes. Announcing the event, Croi Chairman Kevin O Reilly said “ this event is an important fundraiser for Croi and offers business people an opportunity for networking while at the same time supporting the fight against Heart Disease & Stroke in the west of Ireland.” The day kicks off with a light lunch before Golf, followed by dinner in the Clubhouse and there are only a limited number of team places still available.
