Diarmuid, who was known for his trademark cap, loved playing farmer Seamus Mhicil Tom, a character who tormented the Gardai and the authorities with his tricks, poaching and poitin-making. Diarmuid’s son organised a mixed darts night and raffle in memory of his father and presented a cheque for €4,550 to Croi Heart and Stroke Charity.
